We have a range of certified short courses for adult care and childcare professionals. These can be delivered individually or to a group on your premises.

Half day programmes
Cost: £45.00 per person (group rates are available) 

• Back Care Awareness
  This course is designed to raise awareness of manual handling regulations and to promote good practice in the workplace. Certificate of attendance valid for one year.

One day programmes
Cost: £70.00 per person (group rates are available)

•  Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (Appointed Persons) - HSE
  This training enables a first aider to administer emergency first aid at work.  Certificate valid for three years. 
   

• Food Safety in Catering – CIEH  Level 2 Award
  Applicable for those who work in preparation and handling of food. Session ends with a multiple choice assessment. Certificated by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and valid for three years.
   
• Health and Safety in the Workplace - CIEH  Level Two Award
  To increase the knowledge and awareness of health and safety in the workplace.  Session ends with a multiple choice assessment. Certificated by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and valid for 3 years.
   
• Safe Moving and Handling Refresher
  Refresher for those who already have the full qualification; giving an opportunity to refresh skills and to practice safe manual handling techniques. Certificate of competence valid for three years.
   
• Safe Moving and Handling for Managers
  For Managers who supervise moving and handling procedures. Certificate of competence valid for three years.
   
• Diversity in Social Care
  To underpin and strengthen the course participants’ knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity. Certificate of attendance.
   
• Risk Assessment – Principles and Practice – CIEH Level 3 Award
  This qualification provides you with the legislation requirements needed to carry out work place risk assessments. Assignment assessment - Certificated by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and valid for three years.
   
• Child Protection
  This training will give staff the knowledge base on current legislation and practical strategies on dealing with safeguarding situations with children. Certificate of attendance valid for three years.
   
• Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA)
  This training will give staff the knowledge base on current legislation and practical strategies on dealing with safeguarding situations with adults. Certificate of attendance valid for one year.
   
• Medication  - Level 1
  This is a generic course which provides guidance on the safe handling and administration of medication. Certificate of attendance.

Two day programmes
Cost: £99.00 per person (group rates are available)

• First aid Refresher – HSE
  Refresher for those who already have the full qualification and are required to update knowledge and practices in First Aid. Certificate valid for three years.
   
• Safe Moving and Handling – New Starter
  For those involved in assisting with moving and handling of clients in a care setting, raising awareness of legislative requirements and promoting good practice. Certificate of competence valid for three years.
   
• Paediatric First Aid – HSE - 12 hour Ofsted requirement 
  This course will prepare you to respond quickly and safely in the event of any medical emergency with babies and young children.  This is a 12 hour course and is recommended by HSE as the mandatory requirement for persons working in childcare. It focuses on basic life support for the Infant and Child. Certificate valid for three years.

Three day programme
Cost: £150.00 per person (group rates are available)

• First Aid full Qualification - HSE
  The course is designed to enable you to respond promptly, safely and effectively in the event of an emergency until qualified help arrives. Certificate valid for three years.
