What will I learn?This advanced course of study is for those wishing to operate at a technical and/or supervisory level in the electrical industry. It includes electrical theory and competencies. Previous knowledge and understanding is required of how circuits are constructed to enable initial verification inspection and testing.
What qualifications do I need?You will need to have completed the Electrical Installation Level 2 course.
How will I be taught?The course is delivered through a range of practical and theory sessions: prepare a worksite, establish working relationships, comply with health and safety requirements, initial verification and inspection and testing and fault diagnosis of electrical circuits.
How will I be assessed?The course is assessed through course work and six week block assessments, written and practical assignments; written exam; computer based multiple choice exam.
What could I do next?You could progress to an NVQ Level 3 when industry employed.
