It includes electrical theory and competencies. Previous knowledge and understanding is required of how circuits are constructed to enable initial verification inspection and testing.
What qualifications do I need?You will need to have completed the Electrical Installation Level 2 course.
How will I be taught?The course is delivered through a range of practical and theory sessions: prepare a worksite, establish working relationships, comply with health and safety requirements, initial verification and inspection and testing and fault diagnosis of electrical circuits.
How will I be assessed?The course is assessed through course work and six week block assessments, written and practical assignments; written exam; computer based multiple choice exam.
What could I do next?You could progress to an NVQ Level 3 when industry employed.
