Learners are taught using well equipped purpose built, facilities. You have the chance to develop practical skills under the supervision of our qualified staff. There is also a working reception where clients’ appointments are booked to enable students to practice their skills. The College has excellent relationships with local employers and offers many part-time specialist courses for qualified professionals to further their skills. The hairdressing and beauty therapy
industries offer a wide range of employment opportunities in areas such as commercial salons, health spas, cruise ships, leisure clubs, department stores, or setting up your own business.

Careers in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy
How much can I earn?

• Beauty Therapist: £10,000 (NVQ Level 3) to £20,000 (experienced)
• Hairdresser: £7,342 (NVQ Level 2 or 3) to £30,000 (experienced/manager)
• Make-up Artist: £15,000 (Level 3) to £45,000 (very experienced)
• Nail Technician: £10,000 (NVQ Level 2 or 3) to £28,000 (experienced/manager)

Free Adult Courses, and Bursaries for 16 - 18 year olds
The Government has recently relaxed the eligibility rules relating to tuition fees which means that most people who are unemployed, currently seeking work and on benefits are now eligible for fee discounts and in many cases free courses. For more information click here

All courses are free for 16 - 19 year olds and bursaries up to £30 per week are available for 16 - 18 year olds. For more information click here
